Why Can’t I Create an Athlete and Add Them to My Team?
To add an athlete to a team or registration you must go through the link for that specific team or event. There are a few limitations on who can do this and rules for the adding of athletes including:
- Coach accounts can NOT add athletes to their account. If you are a coach and have an athlete you will have to create a second account following the steps below to add your athlete
- You can NOT create an Athlete only account for an athlete under the age of 13 years old
- Athlete only accounts can NOT have multiple athletes. You must create a Parent//Fan account to add multiple athletes too
Steps to create an athlete and add them to your team:
- Click your team link
- Select Parent + Athlete
- Create your parent account with a DIFFERENT EMAIL.
- Add your athlete
- Complete registration
If you do not have a secondary email to use you can use a variation of your existing email to create your Parent/Fan account. Think of this like a new user name. You can do this by adding a +1 before the @ sign in your email.
For example: Customerservice@sportsthread.com would become customerservice+1@sportsthread.com
*Please note you can not do the +1 email with Yahoo email addresses.
